What is Breast Augmentation Surgery?
Breast Augmentation surgery includes the operations such as breast lift, breast enlargement or reduction and nipple esthetic. Many operations can be done in this area in order to reach the desired comfort. Breast area can be esthetically restructured. The deformities in the breasts affect many things from the clothes that the person wears to her self-confidence. So, it is one of the most common operations nowadays. How it is being done?
If the skin of the breast is sagging, the breast augmentation is applied. This operation is done with genera anesthesia. So the patients need stay at the hospital for one night after the surgery. The doctors remove some amount of the sagging skin according to the level of the sagging. The operation lasts approximately 2-3 hours.
Having too big breasts creates neck and back aches and increases sweating. In cases like that breast reduction operation can be done. If it is enough to decrease the amount of fatty tissue, then only liposuction is applied. But most commonly, some of the breast tissue is also removed. The size of the cut for this surgery depends on the tissue which will be removed from the breast. The operation lasts approximately 2-3 hours.
For the deformities in the nipples, can also be fixed with nipple esthetic surgery. When the nipple gets bigger, the areola gets wider and in the cases where are no nipple at all; the growing parts can be minimized and reformed by using certain technics. Nipple operation can be done with general anesthesia, local anesthesia or sedation.
Breast Esthetic Surgery Risks and Complications
The risks and complications of this surgery differs according to the type and size of the operation. After the breast enlargement operation, slight aches can be observed. Swelling and bruises can also be seen but they should be okay in a couple of days. After the breast enlargement operation, you can nurse with no problem. It is suggested that the patients use antibiotics regularly in order to prevent the infection risk.
It is also very important o follow your doctor’s instructions in breast augmentation operations. For the first days, you can feel itchy and discomfort. They should go away in a short time. In the area where the operation is done, swelling and bruises can be seen. However these also recover in a very short time. Moving your arm can trigger the aches. Using some pain relief medications can solve this problem as well.
After the breast reduction operation, nursing function can be damaged. In all these operations, there may be some small scars but they also go away with time.
For the breast nipple operation, the doctors use micro entrances to realize the operation. So risk decreases dramatically.

The Time of Breast Esthetic Surgery’s Recovery and Effect
The recovery time of these surgeries may be different according to type of the operation, however normally in one week time, the patients can go back to their work. If the operation is done with the general anesthesia, the patient needs to stay at the hospital for one night. If the operation is done with local anesthesia or sedation, the patients can go to their home on the same day of the operation. After all these enlargement, reduction and lifting operations, the patients need to rest for a while and limit their activities gradually increase the activity level. They should avoid sudden movements and lifting heavy things. After these operations, sports bra should be used for maximum 6 weeks. You should avoid heavy sports and activities for maximum 3 months. In all types of surgeries smoking should be stopped as it retards the recovers process and the wounds should be treated in the right way.
All these breast surgeries are permanent. The effect period is long, however situations like losing and gaining weights and pregnancy may change the form.
